The Today star is raising her daughter, Vale, and son, Charles, while working on a busy morning show — and her home routine matches accordingly.

While many parents struggle to get their kids to bed early, Savannah doesn’t have that problem because the whole family is on an early schedule!

I’m talking to ALO! before hosting the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting on Nov. 30, Savannah revealed that her kids won’t be waiting to watch it because of the early bedtime.

She explained, “While the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is great for kids because it starts at 9am, the tree lighting starts at 8pm and we both have kids who go to bed early because we go to bed early! So the lights go out. 8 in the evening!”

Savannah loves being a mom and making incredible memories with her young family during the holidays.

Over the weekend, the NBC star shared photos on Instagram of herself and her children decorating the tree with handmade decorations.

Savannah also said HELLO! about her plans for Christmas and why it’s so special to her family. “Christmas is always a very special time in my family,” she said. “My dad was born on Christmas and it was his favorite holiday too. It had a magic about it and I try to recreate that for my kids.”

Savannah continued, “I want them to feel it’s as magical a time as I’ve always felt and cherished. I want to keep old traditions alive, but also start new ones.” The mother of two then explained these traditions when she said: “I never wore matching PJs when I was little. Now we do it”.

Not that Michael was too impressed with the decision. “And there’s my husband, and he’s wearing these ridiculous things, and then I put it on Instagram,” Savannah said with a laugh.

“He’s like, ‘What are you doing? But my cool reputation.” And I’m like, “Well, you never had it.”
