The 18th-century mansion was the address of many noble families before the Clooneys. Although it has undergone several renovations over the years, it still has an 18th century facade.
When Ocean’s 11 the actor came to Italy, the beauty and tranquility of the place helped him de-stress and feel calm. So, he bought the Italian property in 2002 from the Heinz family (yes, the famous makers of tomato ketchup) for $7 million (about 57 million rupees), which today is worth over $100 million (about 816 million of lei).
Located in Lagilo, a town on the western shore of Lake Como, the mansion is just a few meters away from the water. Apart from the aesthetically pleasing surroundings, the massive abode has 25 rooms, manicured lawns and beautiful gardens, a tennis court, an outdoor swimming pool, a gymnasium, a theater and a huge garage where the burglar Hollywood heartthrob keeps his collection of vintage motorcycles. .
The adobe also boasts a dedicated pizza parlor (it is Italy after all), a lovely balcony and private paved alfresco where the couple enjoy romantic sunsets together.
This is where the two lovers met for the first time
The couple first met at this villa when Amal came to visit his home Ticket to Paradise actor with a mutual friend. And crazily enough, George later shared on the Netflix show My next guest needs no introduction hosted by David Letterman, his agent called him and said, “I met this woman who’s coming to your house that you’re going to marry.” And we all know his prediction was spot on. Finally, they got married in 2014.

Charity is never old fashioned
The stylish couple grabbed attention again when they teamed up with Omaze (a for-profit organization that partners with charities in fundraising events) to pick a contest winner in 2019. They flew the winner to Italy , arranged their stay at four. star hotel and invited them to their historic estate for dinner and drinks.
The entire competition proceeds went to the Clooney Foundation for Justice, which is a charitable foundation that fights for justice by addressing human rights violations around the world.

The Hollywood A-lister bought a $2.2 million property from rock legend Stevie Nicks.
