On June 30, 2022, Brown was named CEO following a unanimous vote of Mesirow’s Board of Directors. She is 6th CEO of Mesirow in its 85-year history and the first woman to hold the role.

The most influential female corporate executives of 2022 (selected list in August 2022 and made public in November 2022) is the first annual award created by WomenInc. to honor the extraordinary contribution of female corporate executives. No compensation has been changed in relation to this ranking. To qualify, honorees must be within two levels of reporting to the CEO or be the CEO.
2022 Barron’s Top RIAs (received September 2022 for the year 2021 – License fees paid after award for use of ranking). To be considered for the 2022 Barron’s Top RIA Firms list, applicants were required to complete a 145-question survey, with the firm’s ADV informing most of the answers. Firms were also required to meet a number of other specified requirements to be eligible for inclusion. Firms were ranked based on various qualitative and quantitative factors, including assets under management, team size and experience, adviser and firm regulatory records, technology spending, staff diversity, organic growth and M&A, client segmentation, and succession planning.
