It looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more of Jill Scott in the near future compared to the previous I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! victorious, following her triumph in the jungle.
The 35-year-old retired footballer captured the hearts of the nation during her time in the jungle when she secured 57.66% of the vote, with the title between her and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner after Matt Hancock finished third.
After being the first LGBTQ+ woman to be crowned Queen of the Jungle and her all-female Lioness team defeating Germany in the Euro 2022 final, it seems the only way is up for Jill, according to CEO and PR specialist Andy. Barr
He expects Jill’s opportunities after I’m A Celeb will present a stark contrast to the former series champions.
“Compared to previous winners, Jill has the added advantage of also coming off the back of a fantastic sporting victory for England and is very much a ‘here and now’ celebrity in her own right – unlike previous winners who want to make a comeback.” a career that’s been in the grave for a while,’ he told us.
“I would anticipate that Jill will be hot property for a whole host of shows and celebrity appearances – I hope her agent isn’t too busy, the phone will be ringing off the hook!
Jill – who is engaged to Shelly Unitt – has been praised by fans for ‘making the LGBT community proud’ and even has celebrity fans such as Lorraine Kelly and Georgia Toffolo backing her.
After proving to be such a hit with viewers, Andy is convinced that the village will bring in big money soon enough.
“Jill would be looking at at least £20,000 per social campaign,” he added.
“This is mostly due to an expected ‘in the moment’ bonus that comes from her jungle win.”
He continued: “Her following has grown by over 100% since the start of her time in the jungle – making her an increasingly attractive position for brand partnerships and sponsored posts.”
Only time will tell what Jill plans to do next, but we’re here to see more of her on our screens!
During Sunday’s final, fellow campmate Mike Tindall placed the crown on Jill’s head, she told Ant and Dec: ‘I can’t believe it!
“Honestly, I think I’m going to owe my grandma a lot of money for the 12 million votes she cast.”
She added: “We were a big team, I don’t think there should be one winner, we couldn’t have got through this without all of us.”
