A big, happy family. During the last decade, Brandi Glanvilleex-husband Eddie Cibrian and his wife Leann Rimes they were able to form a coparenting relationship that works for all three.
“When I was first around the kids, I didn’t know what was expected of me. Little things that were so childish about them that I didn’t have about me. It was a really big learning experience for me,” the “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” singer said Refinery29 in May 2017 about becoming a stepparent to the sons Cibrian shares with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum. “They pushed my buttons, which always made me look and see where I needed more healing for myself.”
Rimes continued: It’s been really rewarding to see them grow and to know that I have a part in that. This responsibility, to help raise children, is something that hits you hard. It was something I was up for the challenge. They bring so much joy to my life and it’s a new experience every day.”
In March 2009, We weekly broke the news that Rimes—who was married to Dean Sheremet from 2002 to 2010 — had an affair with The third watch alum after meeting on the set of the Lifetime movie Aurora borealis. Four months later, Glanville recounted Us exclusively that she and Cibrian called it quits that same month, the “How Do I Live” singer and Sheremet also confirmed the end of their marriage. Rimes and Cibrian married in April 2011.
Despite years of public feuding, Glanville revealed in April 2018 that the trio had finally buried the hatchet. “The three of us sat and talked for hours and @leannrimes Eddie and I’s feud is over,” the reality personality tweeted at the time.
A year later, Glanville explained that the trio decided to make amends for the sake of her sons with Comfort in the country actor, Mason and Jake, who were born in 2003 and 2007, respectively. “I don’t know how we did it, all three of us, LeAnn, Eddie and I,” she said Entertainment tonight then. “We, this is an important thing for me to say, we. We have wonderful children… they are so smart, good, good people.”
She continued: “I mean, it comes and goes,” she added. “We’ll have a fight for a week, then we won’t. But that comes with raising two almost teenage children. A teenager and an almost teenager.”

Despite publicly slamming her ex-husband and Rimes after their April 2011 wedding, Glanville released a statement supporting the country singer after Us confirmed that he checked into a treatment facility for 30 days for anxiety. “I fully support LeAnn’s decision to enter rehab — my number one priority is my kids and at the end of the day, we’re a family,” Drinking and Tweeting said the author Us in August 2012. “LeAnn is their stepmom and they love her. I wish him the best and hope he finds what he’s looking for in rehab.”

The trio officially buried the hatchet in the spring of 2018. “The three of us sat and talked for hours and the feud with @leannrimes Eddie and I is over,” Glanville tweeted at the time. “They won’t get away from me on any vacation #modernfamily.”

A year later, the extended family celebrated an “awkward” Easter together. “Happy Easter loves! Our awkward Easter/Christmas card family picture?! Lol,” she wrote on Instagram. “Today was a wonderful day. Many blessings to your family from all of us! #easter #happyeaster #easter2019 #familie #if you have something nice to say please move away *awkward,” Rimes wrote on Instagram at the time, before clarifying that she was referring to “the way we’re standing” in the photo as uncomfortable rather than the situation itself.

Glanville accidentally ruined Rimes’ win in season 4 of Masked singer when she revealed that her sons asked the “Righteous King of Wrong” singer to appear on the show. “I hope my children will be a bonus for The Sun mum Leanne Rines [sic] masked singer wins tonight #Spitfire,” she tweeted at the time, later adding that she was “rooting” for her ahead of the final. “She deserved to win, glad she did!”

Rimes, Cibrian and Glanville got together to celebrate Mason’s 18th birthday with a family dinner. “Happy Birthday Mason! You may be an adult now but you will always be my little boy💗💗I love you so much,” the “Unfiltered” podcast host wrote on Instagram at the time.
The Take two the actor was equally effusive about his son’s birthday. “I remember like it was yesterday, holding this sweet man in my arms…a baby. Now 18. A man. And just as sweet. And caring and kind and smart…a beautiful future ahead,” Cibrian gushed. “Happy birthday young @masoncibrian 💛 🥳🎉🎂 #birthdayboy #18 #notsolittleanymore 😩.”

Later that month, Glanville opened up about her new friendship with Coyote Ugly star. “The truth is LeAnn and I get along really well. I really do,” she said during an appearance on the “Hollywood Raw” podcast, adding that the two women have “grown a lot” after a “decade of fights” with each other. “I think our kids had a lot to do. with her because the kids love it when we’re all together and it’s so obvious. They are so happy. They are heady creatures.”
She continued: “Eddie will be in my life for the rest of my life. We still argue like we’re married when we’re not. We are like sister wives. It’s me, LeAnn and Eddie.”

Although she was forced to skip the Thanksgiving holiday due to a cold, Glanville revealed that she was “thankful” for the “modern family” that she, Cibrian and Rimes have created. “Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I missed my modern family today as I’m home in bed with a cold. Love these people 💗💗,” the Famously single Alum wrote via Instagram.
Rimes, for her part, gave Glanville a shout-out in her own Thanksgiving post. “‘We can be said to be alive only in those moments when our hearts are aware of our treasures.’ —Thornton Wilder,” she wrote. “@brandiglanville we missed you.”
