“And Just Like That…” cast completed 37 of 99 planned shooting days, according to executive producer
John Melfi, an executive producer for And just like that…, documented his work on the series from the beginning. While Melfi’s Instagram page isn’t entirely dedicated to his work on the show, he does occasionally share a snap from the set. In his latest post in honor of Thanksgiving, EP may have subtly revealed when the cast will wrap filming on the reboot’s second season.

On Nov. 23, Melfi shared a photo of himself with Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon. In the caption, Melfi noted that they were on day 37 of 99, clearly referencing the number of filming days planned for the show’s second season. That means the cast and crew are quickly approaching the halfway mark. Filming began, based on a photo on Sarah Jessica Parker’s Instagram account, on September 21.
According to Melfi, season 1 of And just like that… it consisted of 105 days of filming. The cast began filming on July 8 and wrapped filming on December 5. And just like that… season 1 premiered on December 9, 2021. Based on the previous schedule, it can be theorized that the cast should finish filming season 2 in early March, all things being equal.
“And Just Like That…” Season 2 does not yet have a release date
While Melfi’s post gives fans a general idea of how far along filming the show’s second season is, no official release date has been announced. Not a big surprise, though.

While HBO Max has announced the reboot in early 2021, the streaming platform has remained tight-lipped about official launch dates. HBO waited until the second week of November 2021 to reveal that the first season will premiere in December 2021. The reveal was coupled with a full trailer for the show.
If HBO follows suit, fans will likely see a trailer just a few weeks before the season 2 release date. But when exactly is that release date? HBO is silent, but Michael Patrick King, the famous showrunner, is not.

He told Variety that season 2 will likely find its way to the streaming platform in the summer of 2023. King’s timeline has been pretty accurate so far, so it looks like And just like that… fans won’t be reconnecting with Carrie Bradshaw for a while.
