DC Comics heroes have reached many milestones over the years. There are several reasons behind this, but a big one is their power level. DC’s greatest heroes are often extremely powerful, capable of performing feats that other heroes only wish they could do. DC’s most powerful heroes have entire lists of powers, giving them options that less powerful heroes simply don’t have.
The sheer number of powers that some DC heroes have is staggering. Sometimes their individual abilities are connected and make sense. At other times, they seemed cobbled together by writers trying to create the most OP superheroes of all time.
10/10 Raven’s magic gives her many different powers
The new Teen Titans boasted many brave heroes. The team was first brought together by Raven’s situation. Trigon’s daughter, trying to escape her father’s clutches. Trigon wanted to use his daughter as a power battery, which made sense given the extent of her powers.
Raven boasted empathic and healing powers, flight, the ability to manifest her soul, dark energy manipulation, teleportation, energy projection, precognition, reality-bending powers, superhuman durability, telepathy, and telekinesis. All of this was in addition to her magic. With all of these powers, Raven was easily the powerhouse of the new Teen Titans.
9/10 The star heart gives Alan Scott various powers
Alan Scott was the first Green Lantern, who found Starheart during a train crash. He became a founding member of the Justice Society, helping to protect America from both Nazis and super-villains. Eventually, Starheart became a part of him and turned him into a being of energy.
Alan Scott has the power to manipulate Starheart’s energy, but that’s not all. He also has flight, immortality, enhanced senses, hypnosis, phasing, photokinesis, superhuman strength, teleportation, and the ability to travel through interstellar space. That’s an impressive array of powers, and that’s not even counting all the things he can make his engineered constructs do.
8/10 Shazam received more powers from the wizard
Billy Batson was an orphan who found the Wizard Shazam. The sorcerer decided to make the boy his new champion and gave him the powers of Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury. Shazam has made a name for himself as a great hero, battling the likes of Doctor Sivana, Mr. Mind, and Black Adam.
Shazam is gifted with the powers of flight, super strength, invulnerability, super strength, super reflexes, super agility, super intelligence, the ability to summon powerful lightning, and other magic-based powers. Shazam is a titan and can even hold his own against Superman and other Kryptonians in battle.
7/10 Connecting the Flash to the Speed Force gives the Scarlet Speedster impressive powers

Flash has a rich heritage. Heroes who have held the mantle of the Flash can do a lot more than run fast. Empowered by the Speed Force, the Flash has many unique abilities, all stemming from his control of that vaunted energy field. Of all of them, Wally West remains the most powerful Flash.
Wally West has the requisite super speed and super agility, super reflexes, super stamina, a low degree of super strength, a Speed Force aura that negates friction and inertia, superhuman durability, aerokinesis, de-aging, multiverse travel, intangibility, electrokinesis , enhanced mental capacity, super senses, various molecular manipulation abilities, speed force transfer, the ability to steal speed, and time travel. All Flashes have most of these powers to varying degrees.
6/10 The Green Lantern Ring grants its wearer many powers
Earth’s Green Lanterns are a powerful lot, each one gifted with the ability to face a great fear. Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner, John Stewart, Guy Gardner, Simon Baz, Jessica Cruz and Jo Mullein wield the most powerful weapon in the universe, the Green Lantern ring. This incredible weapon gives them a variety of powers.
Each Lantern ring has a computer system, including access to the GLC archives and a navigation system. It also grants its bearers the ability to travel faster than the speed of light, energy manipulation, a degree of superhuman strength, and the ability to create energy constructs and activate a variety of abilities.
5/10 Dr. Fate has a variety of powers
Kent Nelson found the Helmet of Destiny before World War II. After putting it on, he became Dr. Fate. Fate would go on to help form the Justice Society, fighting villains and Axis powers in the Golden Age. There have been several Dr. Fates since Nelson, all summoning the power of Nabu.
The helmet grants the user flight, superior strength, and invulnerability. The helmet also gives Destiny magical mastery. Nabu is a Lord of Order and knows more magic than anyone on Earth, which he will allow the wearer of the Helmet to use. The helmet also grants access to the Tower of Fate, a repository of magical knowledge. Each Fate can depend on Nabu or learn magic on their own, with the current Fate Khalid Nassour becoming a skilled magic user.
4/10 Superman and other Kryptonians on Earth have numerous powers
Superman is the greatest hero on Earth. The Kryptonian refugee has great power under the yellow sun, just like the other Kryptonians on Earth: Supergirl, Power Girl, Conner Kent, and Jon Kent. The powers he gains under the yellow sun empower him to take down enemies no one else can face.
Superman has super strength, invulnerability, flight, super senses, freeze breath, heat vision, superhuman speed, agility and reflexes, super stamina, a healing factor, and possible immortality. Superman’s powers aren’t what make him a great hero, but they allow him to handle whatever his enemies throw at him.
3/10 Captain Atom’s powers are amazing
Captain Atom was a disgraced US Army officer in the 1960s. Court-martialled, he was sentenced to be part of an experiment or be executed. Placed in a salvaged alien ship while a nuclear bomb was detonated against it, he survived but emerged greatly changed. The ship’s metal had bonded to his body and the excess energy hurled him forward in time.
Appearing in the present, Captain Atom has become a weapon for the US government, joining the Justice League and working with the military. He gained super strength, invulnerability, flight, energy absorption, atomic transmutation, matter generation, regeneration, super speed, super strength, super reflexes, quantum field manipulation, and reality control. Captain Atom is a one-man super team with powers beyond what most heroes could imagine.
2/10 The powers of the spectrum are incalculable
Some DC heroes can be pretty ruthless, but few of them are a match for the Spectre. God’s angel of vengeance, the Wraith has punished the wicked since the beginning of time. Related to the murdered detective Jim Corrigan in the 1940s, the Specter worked with the Justice Society and other superheroes, tormenting the villains of the Multiverse.
The Specter has many powers, such as superior strength, durability, flight, dimensional manipulation, molecular control, reality-altering powers, and various magical abilities honed over the Spectre’s eons of life. His power levels are incalculable and even DC’s most powerful villains can’t hold a candle to him.
1/10 Martian Manhunter’s powers make him the Swiss Army Knife of the Justice League

Not every great DC hero is human. Martian Manhunter was the sole survivor of the green Martian race, brought to Earth by scientist Saul Erdel. Since then, J’onn J’onnz has been trying to find a life on Earth. Using his great detective and superhero powers over the years, he became an integral member of the Justice League.
Martian Manhunter has a powerful variety of superpowers. Has super strength, durability, flight, super speed, super stamina, super agility, super reflexes, invisibility, intangibility, telepathy, enhanced senses (including four that humans don’t have), Martian vision eye blasts, telekinesis, and matter absorption . Martian Manhunter is a formidable hero, so much so that even Superman wouldn’t want to fight him.
